The CGAD team is led by Benedict Goodall. He is supported by a dedicated team, including two full time Junior Architects and a Project Manager as well as a great list of consultants and specialists.
After graduating from Newcastle, Lausanne and London, Benedict spent seven years at Feilden+Mawson where he developed his skills on Listed building projects of substantial size and was appointed as an Associate. He then moved to Smallwood Architects where for four years he focused on high end residential with a classical slant, this dovetailed with a modern approach to highly serviced interiors. Benedict then took a senior position at Peregrine Bryant Architecture and continued to work in the high-end residential sector whilst also working on listed buildings of note including the Royal Hospital Chelsea where he was instrumental in developing and delivering the project, working with large teams. Keen to take his work in its own direction Benedict went on to form his own Practice in 2014.
Benedict’s skills lie in promptly interrogating and establishing the brief to ensure a firm base for each project. Teams are then carefully selected to produce a project that is both personal and well considered. He enjoys problem solving and relishes a tricky site or brief and the opportunity to bring this to fruition.
Benedict’s strengths lie in maximising light and space within even the smallest of sites whilst also providing fluid attractive living spaces for his clients.
